Greek Tahini Pie - Tahinopitta

1 1/4 cups tahini
1 3/8 cups orange juice
7/8 pound confectioner's (powdered) sugar -- 14 oz
7/8 pound flour -- 3 1/8 cups
2 1/8 tablespoons baking powder -- 1/8 cup
1/4 pound dark chocolate -- in pieces (5/8 cup)
2 ounces halva -- in pieces (1/8 pound or about 1/3 cup)
2 ounces sesame seeds -- (1/8 pound or about 1/3 cup)
To Garnish: -- Sesame seeds and powdered sugar for garnish
In deep mixing bowl, combine tahini, orange juice, and sugar. Slowly stir in flour, baking powder, and sesame seeds. Turn mixture into a well-oiled cake pan dusted with sesame seeds and powdered sugar; over top of cake mix, sprinkle remaining sesame seeds and sugar, along with chocolate and halva pieces. Bake in preheated oven at 180ÆC for 30 mins, then lower heat to 160ÆC and bake for another 30 mins. Cool on cake rack; turn onto platter. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.

ChupaNote: the Greek cake pans are wider than ours. Use a 10-inch cake pan if you have one.
