Beef Dumplings

1 pound best beef mince
6 ounce shredded beef suet
1 1/2 ounce onions -- finely chopped
Salt and pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon mace
1 egg -- lightly beaten
1 Medium oatmeal for coating
Lard for frying
In a bowl, mix the mince with the suet and chopped onions. Season well and
add the spices. Lightly beat the egg and combine with the meat mixture.
Shape the mixture into 2 inch balls and roll in the oatmeal. Deep fry in
lard until brown (approx 8 to 10 minutes). Serve with a fresh tomato sauce.
