Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1/4 C nuoc mam nhi -- (the good stuff - "nhi". 3 Crabs
brand is best)
1/4 C rice vinegar
Juice of 1 lime (2 TBSP)
2 Tbsp sugar
2 small cloves garlic -- minced (about 1 tsp)
1 small fresh red chilli -- seeded & minced
1 small carrot -- finely shredded (optional)

Mix together in a jar. Allow to stand for a while before serving so the
flavors can develop.

Cuisine:
"Vietnamese"

NOTES : You may substitute 1/4 tsp crushed dried red chilis for the fresh if
not available.

This stuff is addictive! Use it as a dressing for salad or noodles.
