Categories : fish Korean

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
2 pounds white fleshed fish fillets: Hake, Haddock,
etc
1 tablespoon fresh ginger root -- peeled and minced
4 spring onions -- cut in 1-inch pieces
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 bunch cilantro -- not too many stems
1 teaspoon salt -- (to taste)
1 lime -- sliced
Preheat the oven to 400F.
Prepare a baking dish with pan spray. Arrange the fish pieces in it.
In a blender or food processor, combine the ginger, spring onions, soy
sauce, cilantro, pepper flakes and salt and grind to a paste.
Spread the paste on the fish and arrange the lime slices on it. You can let
it set for a while at this point, either in the refrigerator or for up to an
hour on the counter. This lets the flavors penetrate the fish.
Bake for about 8 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Don't
overcook or it turns to mush.
Garnish with more sliced spring onion.
Cuisine:
"Korean"
Serving Ideas : Rice, or course.
NOTES : I can't remember where I came across this recipe, but I've been
making it since the early 1980's. My kids were crazy about this!
