1 pound flank steak -- julienned
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sake
1 pinch white pepper
1 pinch sugar
1 onion -- sliced
3 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 Cup chicken or beef broth
2 teaspoons corn starch
3 tablespoons peanut oil -- for stir frying
Marinate the meat in the soy sauce, sake, ginger, garlic, sugar and pepper
for at least an hour.
Heat the wok; stir fry the meat until just beginning to turn color. Add the
onions and stir fry just until beginning to lose their crunch.
Add the broth and oyster sauce; thicken with corn starch.
