-------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups coconut milk 3 cups milk 2 cups rice 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. tumeric 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground cloves 1/4 tsp. ground cardamom 2 Tablespoons butter In a 2-quart saucepan combine the coconut mik and regular milk and bring to boiling point. Add 2 cups rice, salt and spices. Cover and cook until rice is absorbed, about 20 mins. Add 2 Tablespoons butter. Yield: 8 servings (about 1/2 cup each) This is rich but really delicious! You may, if you like, add 1/2 cup grated coconut to give it a stronger coconut flavor. Source: "University of Pennsylvania African Studies"
