Sengiri Daikon Itameni with Pork and Shirataki

1.5 oz sengiri daikon
1/2lb/227g pork
15g kiri kombu (Shirakiku brand)
1/2 can shirataki (Shirakiku brand)
2 C dashi soup stock (Shimaya dashi no moto)
1 tsp roasted white sesame seed
1/3 tsp ginger juice
3 TBSP oil
1 tsp sesame oil
3 TBSP mirin
3 TBSP shoyu
1 tsp sugar

For 3 persons

Wash sengiri daikon and soak in warm water for 15 minutes or so until soft.
Rinse thoroughly and drain.
Cut pork into thin julienne strips. Heat 3 TBSP oil in a skillet and sear
pork until golden brown. Add sengiri daikon, kiri kombu, and shirataki, and
cook until well done. Add remaining ingredients and simmer until broth is
reduced.

Sengiri daikon is dried shredded daikon. Be warned: it smells very strong!
but is not very pungent when cooked. Don't leave it in your car for very
long, though!

If you have never tried shirataki (konnyaku noodle), this would be a good
introduction. I use boneless pork chops for convenience.
