Vietnamese Dipping Sauce - Vegan Nuoc Cham

1/4 cup soy sauce -- tamari, or Bragg's Liquid Aminos
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons water
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 clove garlic -- pressed or minced
Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl and serve immediately or
store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Makes 3/4 cup (6 two-tablespoon servings)
The quintessential Vietnamese dipping sauce. Use it to dip everything from
crudités to Tempura Vegetables (page 142) to Thai Summer Rolls (page 59)
and beyond.
