Curried Yams in Coconut Milk

2 inches fresh ginger root -- chopped

2 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 tablespoon cilantro leaves -- chopped, for garnish

Peel yams, cut into one-inch cubes. Steam in water until they turn soft,
about 20-minutes.
